An artist in New York volunteered to do the cover art for the upcoming Palos Verdes Concours, and depicted the first Cobra ever made, the blue one that Shelby never sold, against the Trump golf course background. The car was shown there a few years ago , though there's no guarantee the same car will be at the show in Sept. but the organizers wanted cover art showing a car on the course. The artist, named Ron, asked me if anybody would be interested in a print if he went the expensive way, digital to canvas, which would probably retail for about $250. I don't know so I am posing the question here-- if anybody out there is fond of that very first car and would like a formal portrait of it they can contact Ron at

    (yeah, he owns a Viper...)
