hi all, my baby somehow saw a pretty "ugly" nail and grabbed it where the tire meets the ground and sidewall. yep, on the line. nail is still in tire and not losing any air pressure. of course the question never arose as to patching/plugging the tire, only replacement... a whopping $455 for one tire (goodyear eagle f1 special, p285/35r19 90w), balance, etc. fortunately, i purchased the premium extended warranty and road hazard inusrance. the road hazard insurance didn't show up in the parts dept when ordering the tire, so i had the guy talk to the closing clerk to verify my purchase. sooo, my FYI is: only think once about road hazard insurance. it's well worth it. it doesn't automatically come w/ the vehicle warranty from ford or goodyear. another thing is, when going in for an oil change, ensure the dealer has the oil and filter, etc for your car. mine didn't. no tire, no oil/filter. that's all folks!
