    Folks,

I like to install a hood prop rod instead of the hood springs on my fiberglass hood.
Someone told me that a bolt is used to wedge the prop rod when hood is closed - and no clip!

But I'm missing any prictures or even better sources where to get the bolt?

Can anyone post a photo of the bolt and even better the dimensions of the bolt and the correct position of the wholes need to be drilled for instaling the prop rod and the bolt?

    Thanks Harald

Harald here is a picture of the bracket that holds my prop rod when hood is closed. My car is #550 it came with a prop rod. It is by the drivers side horn.

Tx, gives me first time an idea how the bracket needs to look like.
Do you know, if the bracket is a special GT350 part - or is this a carry over part from other FORDs and if yes, which one?
And if yes - I can start my search!
If not - I need to rebuild the bracket on my own and it would be fabulous if you could take a higher resolution photo of the bracket only?

Please correct me, but it seems to me, that the prop rod position (driver or passenger side) various over the 65 GT350 productions. I've seen some photos in either way..or is there only one correct position?
